- You will take on technical leadership for our backend engineers in one particular cross-functional development team
- You will define best practices, and ensure high-quality code and system performance within your team
- You will work closely with the other Staff Engineers to align the technical approaches
- You will work closely with Product, Frontend, and DevOps teams to define / align technical requirements and roadmaps and act as Technical Leader for complex projects
- You will ensure a timely delivery of high-quality software solutions and constantly optimize our system performance, reliability and maintainability

This is how you can impress us
- You have a completed degree in computer science or natural sciences, as well as several years of professional experience in software development (at least 5-7 years)
- You have first-rate expertise in the development of scalable Web applications down to system levels
- You are an expert in different backend technologies (especially Kotlin, JavaScript and Ruby, as well as Spring Boot …)
- You can impress us with experience...
- in at least one of the major cloud provider (like AWS, GCP, Azure)
- in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK etc.)
- building & designing APIs (OpenAPI, Contracts etc.)
- working with distributed systems
- You have a high degree of empathy for social processes within the team and impress with excellent communication skills
- Both a theory-based and a pragmatic approach towards implementing agile development processes are a must
- Fluency in written and spoken English is a prerequisite for the job
