Visionary with online experience – the management team from Visable

Since August 2012 Peter F. Schmid has been CEO and executive partner at Visable (formerly “Wer liefert was”). 

After studying business at the LMU in Munich, he worked as a brand manager at Procter & Gamble. He then switched to the online vehicle market Autoscout24 early in 1999 shortly after its launch where, as Managing Director, he founded, inter alia, the marketplace operator Scout24 Media. The father of three became Vice President at eBay Classifies and CEO of mobile.de in 2006. Almost four years later he took over management of the online dating agency PARSHIP.

As Chief Commercial Officer, David Vitrano has been responsible for sales and marketing at Visable since January 2022. Before joining the company he had different managing positions at NEW WORK SE where he has been responsible for XING e-recruitung as a managing director most recently.

Vitrano previously worked for several years at HSM GmbH & Co KG being responsible for global brand and product communication as well as the product management. Vitrano studied economics at the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences. He later completed a Master of Business Administration at Steinbeis University Berlin.

As CFO, Volker Wahl has been responsible for controlling at the company as well as finance & accounting since January 2019. He came to the company from kfzteile24 GmbH where, as CFO, he was responsible for expanding the finance department. 

Early in his career, he held different positions at several sites of the consultancy firm, Bain & Company. Following this, he built up the finance department of Congstar GmbH during its growth from a start-up to a leading telecommunications company. In 2012, he moved to Hotel Reservation Service (HRS), where he was also responsible for the finance department and drove the internationalization of the company as well as the integration of the acquisition hotel.de AG. Volker Wahl is a qualified industrial engineer.

Rongxun Zhao has over 18 years of professional experience in Software Engineering and AI, with expertise in both B2B and B2C cross-border and local business models.  

 After obtaining his Master’s degree in Software Engineering from Zhejiang University, he began his career at a Japanese software company, followed by work in SaaS software development at IBM. In 2011, he joined Alibaba in the AliExpress division, and in 2022, he moved to Lazada. Before joining Visable, he served as CTO, where he developed the new Miravia platform from scratch in Madrid. He has led teams globally and has lived and worked in both Asia and Europe. 

Niclas von Buchwaldt has been Chief Human Resources Officer at Visable since June 2024 and is responsible for all HR-related issues at locations around the globe.  

After graduating with a degree in economics and having worked in Germany, Russia and Chile, he began his career at the management consultancy CapGemini Ernst & Young in the area of ‘People & Change Management’, where he worked as a consultant on major transformation projects for over five years. He then spent 16 years at Telefonica o2 in various management positions in Customer Service, Sales and most recently as Director of Human Resources. He played a key role in the mergers with the companies Alice/HanseNet and E-Plus. One of his tasks was to consolidate and digitalise the HR departments of Telefonica o2 and E-Plus as part of the post-merger integration. Subsequently, Mr von Buchwaldt was responsible for the global People Operations units at SIXT as Vice President.
