Demand Distribution & Category-Level Analysis
Analyze and model demand distribution across product categories and market segments
Identify category-level patterns, bottlenecks, and growth opportunities. Set up of quarterly category deep-dive report and category demand dashboards
(volume, growth rates, seasonality, conversion proxies)
Supplier segmentation model + refresh cadence based on activity, demand, and buyer behavior
Customer Retention & Performance Analytics
Examine the key drivers of customer loyalty and repeat purchasing within the B2B environment
Connect retention metrics with performance KPIs to highlight optimization potential based on Retention analysis model (cohorts, time-to-repeat, churn drivers)
Develop data- supported hypotheses and recommendations to strengthen customer retention and improving customer lifecycle
Impact Assessment in the Marketplace Context
Continuously monitor strategic initiatives and evaluate their measurable effects on marketplace development by performance dashboards including before/after comparisons and A/B analysis reports
Identify new supplier opportunities and qualified leads by interpreting platform trends and behavioral interactions between buyers and suppliers
Establish and operationalize target-group-specific KPIs, ensuring ongoing tracking and performance improvement across the marketplace
Buyer Insights & B2B Behavior Analysis
Analyze search behavior and product category interactions, integrating trend observations with broader market developments. (e.g. Zero-result queries, demand vs. supply mismatch)
Buyer decision journey mapping based on data (which interactions correlate with conversion or retention)
- Generate strategic insights for product, lead management, and customer experience teams to guide decision-making and prioritization

This is how you can impress us
Must-haves
• Experience or strong understanding of B2B purchasing behavior and procurement processes
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets
• Excellent knowledge of SQL or comparable query languages for independent data extraction and analysis
• Ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights
• Structured, independent working style with strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of business development or relevant experience in a manufacturing company
Nice-to-have
• Experience in a B2B SaaS or marketplace environment
• Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and statistical analysis methods
• Understanding of pricing, assortment, or demand optimization models
